We are a wife and husband photography duo with over a decade of photography experience. We love to travel. In 2015-2016 we drove cross country four times.

Marly: I'm a native Puerto Rican that moved to the east coast to pursue my goals as an artist-entrepreneur. In New York I fell in love with photography and filmmaking. With a specialty in directing at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts MFA program for film production; my love for film is what inspires my photography. I believe that an image should capture a moment in a way that tells a story. When not capturing images, I'm directing films. While Stephen is running, I'm doing yoga.

Stephen: Doesn't like writing his own bio. Originally from Baltimore, Stephen has a degree in photography and creative writing. His love for photography started over 10 years ago on film, capturing fine art around Baltimore on various film formats. When not capturing images, he writes screenplays and novels.

What can we expect? 

Our sessions are laid back but professional. Our first goal is to make sure you and your family are comfortable. We love designing photoshoots and no amount of questions are too many, even prior to booking. We want to make sure we are capturing your story. Please take a look at our resource guide on how to prepare for a photo session.

Q: Where do you shoot?

We shoot all over the east coast using a combination of flash and natural light to get the most out the various backdrops that various cities have to offer. We also shoot at client's homes or office spaces using studio lights.

Q: Who chooses the photos that I will receive?

Marly does. She always makes sure to pick out the most flattering images. No one likes to see photos of themselves squinting or making a weird face. It takes away from the magic of the session.

Q: How long does it take to get my images and how will they be delivered? 

Headshots take up to one week. Other types of sessions can take 2-4 weeks depending on how long the session was and how many images were taken. We always make sure to deliver the images as quickly as possible to your email via Google Drive.

Q: How and when do I pay you? 

Full payment is required by the shoot date. All sessions require a small deposit. We accept cash, American Express, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, or checks. Bounced checks will incur the cost of the bank fee. 

Q: What is the best time of day for an outdoor session? 

Just before sunset or just after sunrise. Overcast days are gorgeous. So don't fret if there isn't much sun. 

Q: What's the difference between editing and photo retouching?

All of our work includes full editing. The photos you receive will look like the work you see on our website. What this means is that we never give a photo straight out of the camera. This ensures that every photo you receive will have the best possible exposure and color. Here's what you get in terms of editing:

  1. Color temperature adjustments

  2. Brightness and darkness adjustments

  3. Overall exposure corrections

  4. Composition adjustments

Our work does not include photo retouching. It is available upon request. Photo retouching covers the more complex gamut of corrections. This is great for wall art, professional submissions, portfolios, albums, etc. This includes things like blemish removal, and more. Here are some things commonly requested for photo retouching:

  1. Natural skin retouching (evening out skin tones, eye/teeth brightening, blemish removals, etc.)

  2. Removing elements (limitations apply)

  3. Combining two or more photos (limitations apply)
